We provide a wide range of children’s dentistry treatments that assist in the development and protection of your child’s smile.
At DentaGlow, we are passionate about providing quality dental care for patients of all ages, including children. Our experienced professionals are passionate in connecting with our younger patients in a caring way. We recommend that children begin visiting us from around the age of two. Although this may seem quite young, this helps children become accustomed to our practice and the routine of regular examinations. Ideally, children should be examined every six months to ensure their development and oral hygiene is being conducted effectively.
We would love to help you familiarise your children with our practice. This is why, every Wednesday between 11 am and 1.00pm, we provide free tours of our practice. If you would like to bring your children in for a visit, just contact us to make an appointment and your kids will get the opportunity to get in the dentist’s chair.
Although primary teeth are only present during early childhood years, they play an important role in the development of your child’s smile and long-term oral health. It is important to note that decay progresses at a faster rate in children’s teeth, as they are softer than adult teeth, highlighting the importance of children’s dentistry treatments. In the long term, children who experience decay are much more likely to develop dental problems as they get older, which may contribute to other serious conditions. This can be prevented by simply maintaining good oral care.
We try to make children’s visits as relaxing and fun as possible. Our experienced dental professionals encourage them to be interactive by showing them the dental instruments and letting them know exactly what they are looking for and why. It is really important that you assist your children in protecting their teeth and gums. Encourage them to brush twice daily, eat a well-balanced diet, floss daily and ensure they consume reasonable amounts of water. Furthermore, make brushing a fun activity, supervising your child’s brushing technique until they get the hang of it.
